PAST EVENTS

We’ve certainly organised some amazing events over the years!

We’re busy working on other projects currently, but you can enjoy some of our past glories by scrolling down.

HubFest

Muckmedden were delighted to be asked to organise a launch event in 2021, to mark the official opening of the new Dundee Cycle Hub.

Organised in collaboration with Angus Cycle Hub, Dundee City Council and Sustainable Dundee, the ethos of the event was to encourage the use of active transportation, to raise awareness of climate change and promote sustainability.

HUB FEST took place on the city’s spectacular Waterside Place development on Sunday 26th September 2021 with several thousand people attending the event.

Fair City Enduro

Fair City Enduro is no ordinary mountain bike Enduro.

Based in the vibrant city of Perth, this three-time EWS Qualifier is the only race where you’re likely to see a Stormtrooper racing the fastest Enduro Heads in the country.  Hailed as “the UK’s most spectacular Enduro” Fair City Enduro combines a city centre start line, world class trails and a Halloween fancy-dress theme to create an event like no other.

While you’re out shredding the trails, your friends and family can be enjoying a city break and taking-in Perth’s excellent network of cafes, shops, art galleries and restaurants and in the evening you can hit up the bars, restaurants and clubs of the Fair City together.

Everyone’s a winner!

6hour

Pitmedden has a history of Mountain Bike racing dating right back to the 16th century, almost.  Straddling the Fife/Perthshire border, this small forest boasts a virtual labyrinth of singletrack which packs a ferocious punch which is why we staged the first ever Muckmedden event here back in 2012.

No manicured trails, no massive climbs, no monster descents, just a non-stop assault of technical, undulating singletrack to test the skill and stamina of any Mountain Biker.  Whether you normally ride Enduro, XC or Downhill the Muckmedden 6hour will challenge you and your bike in every department.

But it’s only six hours right?  How hard can it be?!

Cream o’ the Croft

Cream o’ the Croft is our family-friendly festival of camping and fun activities for all ages, or a weekend of mountain bike racing and partying… or both!  Hosted With the award winning Comrie Croft as a venue, live music, street performers, gourmet food and drink and a host of other fun stuff ranging from a pedal-powered cinema to a giant water slide it couldn’t be a reciipe for anything else other than fun!!  Think of Cream o’ the Croft as a family-friendly music festival, mountain bike Enduro and a food and drink festival all crammed into one unbelievable weekend in Highland Perthshire!

The Eliminator MTB Festival

Although similar to Cream o’ the Croft,  both festivals share many of the same traits such as; family-friendly camping and glamping, beer festival, MTB racing for all ages, delicious food, live music and super-fun festival activities, there is nothing quite like The Eliminator.  Described by Enduro Mountainbike Magazine as; “A highlight on the Scottish racing calendar” The Eliminator is undoubtedly the most spectacularly bonkers mountain bike event known to man (or cow).

Falkirk Funduro

Hosted at Callendar Estate in Falkirk in Scotland’s Central Belt, Falkirk Funduro was held at a time of year when it’s dark by 4pm and absolutely FREEZING.

But if you were brave enough to wrap up warm, charge up your lights and drag your bike out of the shed, you were in for a treat…..

With Toddler bike racing and a kids Mini Enduro in the morning, followed by Enduro racing for over 12’s in the afternoon and evening, riders could enjoy fast-flowing trails by daylight and after dark.  We had cosy campfires, music and disco lights dotted around the forest to keep everyone buzzing and there was more hot chocolate than you could shake a frozen stick at.

November doesn’t get better.

Forfar Funduro

The word Funduro could have been invented for Forfar as the trails on Balmashanner Hill are the perfect blend of flow and gnar, with lots of opportunities to get some serious airtime.

You’d reach the bottom of each stage gagging to ride it all over again, which was lucky as you’d get to ride each stage twice.  The day would end with two Head2Head runs on the Dual Slalom which led straight into the event village.  With tight chicanes, steep terraces and verges and road gap jumps to negotiate, it was a total hoot in front of the Angus Cycling Festival crowd!
