Without the support of our sponsors, the Muckmedden prize pot would probably consist of one bag of carrots, a bottle of lube and some clothes pegs.  But that’s not the case thanks to this awesome bunch.

Welcome to Meet the Muckin’ Sponsors – Part 1

First up, we have Manchester-based SIXTH ELEMENT, who are our title sponsors for a second consecutive year.  Did you know that Sixth Element are the only major carbon wheel brand to build their wheels 100% by hand in the UK, creating the strongest and most reliable carbons on the market?  You do now.

Once again we’re delighted to say that every racer and Muckmarshal at Clans @ The Croft and Fair City Enduro will be in with a chance of winning a pair of super-slick Sixth Element carbon wheels in the Random Raffle at each of our events.  £1000 worth of carbon wheelset for free?!  Now that’s worth hanging around for!

Make sure you pop over to the Sixth Element stand for a chat at Clans @ The Croft and Fair City Enduro, a nicer bunch you couldn’t wish to meet and it’s always nice drooling over carbon stuff.  Or is that just me?

Next on the bill we have Ultimate USE, who are based in the South Downs National Park in Englandshire and have been designing and producing the very best in Cycling components since 1990, including the incredible Exposure Lights range.  The company have also had huge success over the years, producing components that contributed to winning Olympic Gold and King of the Mountains at the Tour De France, so their credentials are not in any doubt!

This year, the fastest male and fastest female at Clans @ The Croft and Fair City Enduro will take home a beautiful carbon bar and stem set from Ultimate USE.

The lucky Muckers….

A couple of years ago it’s safe to say that not many people in the UK had heard of MSC Tires, but all that has changed.  MSC rubber has now helped many top level Enduro and XC racers to climb onto podiums across the globe and the brand is building a reputation for offering serious rider’s rubber at a reasonable price.

MSC does everything from Enduro Hipster Tanwalls, to aggressive DH tyres and lightweight XC rubber, at a price that seems like shockingly good value compared to other tyre brands.  If you haven’t yet, you really need to try these things.

But if cheap isn’t cheap enough we’ll be awarding MSC Tires vouchers to this year’s podium finishers thanks to the generosity of MSC’s UK distributor Terra Venture.

*This one’s for over 18’s only.  Please drink responsibly, don’t walk under a ladder, or step on the cracks in the pavement.

Aye, we know.

We are absolutely delighted to have Black Isle Brewery on board again this year!  We’ve had so much fun working together over the past few years that we’re collaborating again in 2020.  Yay for responsibly drinking organic beer that’s responsibly brewed in Bonnie Scotland using locally-sourced ingredients.

Oh sorry, didn’t you know?  If you drink Black Isle Brewery beer you are quite literally saving the planet one sip at a time.  And they do a post-ride beer called MTBeer.  It’s actually a match made in heaven.  We will do even more for the planet by serving up scrumptious Black Isle Brewery beer at Clans @ The Croft and handing out prize cases to this year’s podium finishers.

Our work here is done.

Next up, we are chuffed to announce that the guys at Smart & Co. are supporting our events again this year.

A Surveyor and Property Consultant probably isn’t the obvious choice to sponsor our events, but the guys at Smart & Co. are absolutely bike daft and true mountain bikers.  Doug has competed in many a Strathpuffer and Graeme has been one of our key Marshals since our first event back in 2012 and is pretty much part of the furniture at Muckmedden.  If we had any furniture that is.

Last year the support from Smart & Co. helped us to get some beautiful custom Muckmarshal mugs printed up and they even hosted a live screening of Red Bull Rampage at their offices the night before Fair City Enduro, just for the Muckmarshals.  There was enough pizza and beer to last a week!  It didn’t though.

This year we’ll be using their sponsorship money to buy some sweeeeeet Clans @ The Croft merchandise and other cool stuff that we wouldn’t be able to do without their support.  Thanks you absolutely top bunch of Muckers!

Progression Bikes have been a Muckin’ Sponsor since our very first event back in 2012 and boss man Adam Flint has been running our ever popular Muckmaiden women’s coaching sessions for the past few years too.

PB are awesome because they have a well stocked shop with lots of beautiful bikes to hire or buy.  They are also based in the MTB mecca of Dunkeld which is very handy for “important business meetings”.  Our last “important business meeting” involved hiring a fleet of high-end Mondraker and Trek e-bikes and riding every amazing descent in Dunkeld until the batteries ran out.  It was tough but we managed thanks to the post-ride cake in the local deli.  This short video shows just how tough it was.  You and your mates should try it sometime….if you can handle the toughness.

Progression Bikes will once again be running our Muckmaiden coaching sessions at Comrie and Perth (spaces are still available) and have very kindly donated several £100’s worth of vouchers into the prize pot!

You absolute Muckin’ Megastars!

Did I mention we’re back at Scotland’s number one trail centre on the 3rd and 4th of April?  Oh sorry I thought I’d mentioned it, click HERE to get yourself completely stoked oot yer nut about the UK’s first Team Enduro.

Yup, Clans @ The Croft is shaping up to be ridiculously MEGA and you simply have to be there.  Think of it as a Poundland version of the EWS Trophy of Nations….with sausages.

Of course it’s being held at Comrie Croft and Comrie Croft Bikes are one of the main event sponsors.  They will be ensuring the stages are as good as possible by working on the droppy bits, bermy bits and shreddy shralpy bits ahead of race day to make sure they’re in tip-top condition.  For the whole of event weekend they will of course be on hand to get you back on the trails if you break your bike.  They will do this either by fixing it, or by selling you a brand new bike to replace it.  Either way you’ll all be extremely happy about the situation.

Those CCB legends will also be very kindly donating several £100’s worth of shop vouchers to the prize pot for this year’s events.  Told you, their generosity literally knows no bounds!
