Oh mammy daddy, we’ve got some VERY exciting plans for 2020. Get these dates in yer diaries!
When we started organising the first Muckmedden event back in 2011, most mountain bikes had teensy weensy 26″ wheels and the word Brexit hadn’t even been invented. Such simple times…..
A lot has happened in the past few years and we’re now just weeks away from a hard or soft-boiled Brexit and the seventh Fair City Enduro (which has been Scotland’s only EWS Qualifier event for the past two years). It still makes me smile that wee Muckmedden fae Abernethy is a tiny cog on the world mountain biking wheel and thanks to you lovely people believing in what we do, we’re now planning ahead to 2021 and beyond.
As you might have noticed, each year we love to mix things up to keep things fresh and since 2012 we’ve never actually had the same line-up twice. Next year will be no different. We’ve spent the past few months talking to venues new and old, weighing up our options and now we’re getting to the good bit……spilling the beans 🙂
There are still a few formalities to sort out so we can’t share the full details at this stage, but we can reveal that you have THREE Muckmedden events to look forward to next year and this is how they’re shaping up…….
- 4th April – *TOP SECRET* Enduro
Central(ish) Scotland – amazing stages – on-site camping – music – fire pit.
- 26th September – *TOP SECRET* Gravel/MTB
Brand new venue (somewhere on the West Coast perhaps?) – big miles – big adventure – camping- music – craic.
- 31st October – *NOT SECRET AT ALL* Fair City Enduro
Dodgy outfits – tasty trails – nights on the town.
Note – Things could change but these are the events that look the most likely at this stage. We just wanted to let you know as soon as possible so you can get the dates booked off in your diaries. Hopefully you can trust us by now that whatever happens it will be Muckin’ Good!
